We are a small family business that makes affordable luxury candles. We believe that candles should not only be good for your mind but also your body. Our candles are non toxic and burn clean! (no yucky black soot ever!) Every candle is made with 100% soy wax derived from American-grown soy beans making them an Eco-friendly and sustainable product. They have lead free cotton wicks and are petroleum-free, cruelty-free, phthalate-free, and 100% vegan. Each of our candles are wicked, poured, labeled and shipped in our studio in Brooklyn NY.

We are dedicated to making a high quality product while shining a light on mental health awareness and promoting self care. Our hope is that our candles will provide you with a flicker of light and hope; and offer you peace and comfort when you need it most.
Because Mental Health Awareness is the driving force behind my brand 5% of proceeds will be donated to Mental Health America.

OUR STORY
Hey there! I'm Andrea and I live in Brooklyn NY with my husband, two children, two dogs and a cat. I have my BA in Psychology and have always found myself advocating for mental health awareness. I have a passion for curating scents that evoke feelings of peace and comfort. This business idea came to me after caring for a loved one who suffers from mental illness. There were days that I felt so helpless, tired, frustrated at the system and the lack of resources and support that I really found myself in a dark place. I always found my stress melt away (pardon the pun) when I lit the perfect scented candle. I wanted to create a business that not only brought others that same peace and comfort but one that would also shine a light on mental health and self care. Every candle is mindfully created and I truly hope you enjoy your Out of Darkness Candle as much as I enjoy making them.
